NAtwest CC

My friend has applied for and been given a CC with Natwest, and has been told about £25 fee if not used. and will not get the fee if it is used.

Does anyone know if this is a one off fee or if this is a monthly thing, i.e. if not used every month then any month not used then £25 fee?

I'm not impressed with it and would like to be able to tell her to cancel it and go for a different one ...

Any suggestions which is best for low volume use and no fees!

It will be paid off in full every month, but a low interest rate just incase.

And there is no transfer balance just starting from £0

Thanks

Natwest have two mainstream credit cards both with an annual fee. If your friend has the Reward Credit Card it does have cashback and they will refund the fee if your friend also has the Reward Current Account. Your friend needs to be clear what product they have and speak to Natwest if any quieries.

It would help if you said what exactly card it was.
For all their CCs except the Student one I see annual fee. I'd be surprised if they charge for inactivity on the top.

There's nothing in their sample Terms and Conditions to suggest a fee for not using the credit card.

I might be wrong in my statement but AFAIK it's only American Express who (or used to) charge for periods of inactivity.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Ok so assuming it is a Reward CC and she has a Reward CA....

The link suggests there will be no fee by virtue of the fact that she has a Reward CA, nothing about having to use the card to lose the fee, so that would be OK.
