[FONT="]Yes that’s also my opinion, also returned products are usually items that have been returned because someone is not happy with them (not always of course).
This could be down to things like picture quality or sound quality. No two tv sets will perform exactly identical. Although they may meet the manufacture's specifications.
Also in a refurb set you have a fair chance of landing with odd intermittent faults which may not show on a retest at the refurb/testing site.
Several years back we had a faulty Sky Box. We paid for a repair and the Sky Engineer came out and swapped the Box over, leaving a Refurb Box. After a few hours running this box started cutting off.
After another 3 Refurbished Boxes the guy at Sky Support said he would arrange a new Box.
10 years later and that same new Sky Box running is still in use and working perfect.
That is part of the reason I do not trust so called Refurbished Products.

I wouldn't be happy with the refurbished item. The television is practically new in terms of how long a television should last. If he was happy to have a refurbished television he could have gotten one a lot cheaper than buying brand new.Make £10 per day-

I thought I would let you know I rejected Sony's offer of a used replacement TV (Sony made me wait 4 weeks for this offer).
I contacted one of the Customer Services Managers at the Co-op Electrical and she advised if Sony provided an uplift number they would exchange with a new TV.
Sony again proved difficult, but eventually after going on their face book page it was obtained. The Co-op Electrical came up good, they offered another tv,or a full refund. I opted for the refund and bought a higher spec. model from John Lewis.
No issues with the new tv,the quality is amazing.0 -

Brilliant news, just shows you should never give up without a bit of a fight.0
