I have received an email from Halifax offeriing me 1% cashback on purchases made with the card in a certain perio.I have to ring an 0345 number to opt in. Has anyone else received an email and how do I know it's genuine? Yes, they have put part of my postcode in the email, but scammers today are always one step ahead. One thing that makes me suspicious is that it says you cannot apply for this in a branch. Sounds strange. I will check next time I am near a Halifax branch. just wondering if anyone else has been offered this?

I had a similar offer for 3% cashback pre Christmas. Again, you needed to call to opt in. It was genuine.0

I had a similar one offering 6 months interest free on purchases, same sort of number to confirm acceptance of the offer0

Yes it's genuine. I just got cash back from the Halifax paid onto my card the other day. It's paid annually.0

I went into a Halifax branch yesterday to check it out. They rang up for me and I have now been registered. Cashback is paid in August. Many thanks to all who replied.:beer:0
