Compensation due to complaints

Hi, looking for a bit off advice.
I've received a phone call stating I'm due compensation as my all inclusive resort had recieved a certain amount of complaints. Is this a scam all they are asking is that I send them a copy of my booking details.
I've tried searching on the net but can't find anything. Any info would be great.
Thanks

Ask yourself why would somebody offer you something for nothing if there is nothing in it for them?

Anyone legitimate would have your booking details already, otherwise they wouldn't know to contact you.

Does this relate to a past or future booking?

Have you googled the phone number that called you
  • Who was the phone call from? It sounds like a company just ringing around trying their luck. If you really were due compensation the company would already have all the necessary information.

This is someone looking for your details, name address etc. Do not have anything to do with them. If you think you deserved compensation, you would have written and complained, wouldn't you? If you are yet to travel it is even more dangerous as they will then know when to burgle you.....
