Default date change Natwest

Options
Hello all, some help and advice is greatly needed.

I had two defaulted accounts with Natwest and as im trying to rebuild my credit file last year 28/1/2015) i decided to check my credit file with experian. Both accounts showed that the default date was 30/4/2010. Coming towards the end of the six year default drop off i thought I'd double check my credit file again, this time with equifax. To my horror one of the default dates has changed to 30/11/2011 exactly the same date as the account was settled.

What can i do as me and my oh are looking to buy our first house in four months and im so worried it will take ages to resolve.

Many thanks

You need to complain to Natwest, I complained as my credit file was wrong. A lovely lady corrected it and even said I was owed £550. You can do it online or won't take them long.

Thats for the response, i will give them a call today, how long roughly do you think it could get sorted? I have copies of my credit file from experian and equifax that clearly show the error.

    Thanks

Absolutely chuffed, phoned natwest at lunch and to my surprise they admitted that the default date was incorrect. They have amended it now and all is well in the world. Thanks for your help Banks4u.
