PIP upgrading letter

I have been told by a contact from WARBRECK HOUSE - that "most DLA claimants have already been sent "PIP Upgrading letters" - "If you are on DLA. Most people received them through March/April. If you haven’t received you can ring helpline and ask for one to be sent."
I have not - and am concerned
Anyone else in the same boat ?
Or is this just an attempt to force us to convert to PIP ?

The last phase of changing DLA to PIP began in July 2015 so everyone should be changing in the near future.
This does not mean that everyone has been notified - just that the process has started for those on indefinite/long awards.
Much will depend on your area and how many transfers they have to deal with and how many other PIP new claims and renewals they have to deal with.
The gov. timetable was withdrawn in November 2015 which means that ALL areas have now started this final phase.
Personally I wouldn't worry about it at the moment just wait until you are contacted. If in a few months you still aren't contacted then you can ring again.0 -

RE: Phoning them
I can't find it now ..but my 'condition charity' posted something a while back about an email address for contacting DWP for those of us who struggle with phones.
We were also told you can split phonecall into smaller calls, they will let you and you can phone back again and carry on later.
RE: Changeover
I am still on DLA I know i will have to be assessed for PIP at some point but I will let them contact me. I think phoning them might start your PIP claim if wires get crossed and well I'd like to put it off a bit longer. There is never an ideal time to wade through the paperwork but if I reach a quieter spell in medical appointments etc in autumn an dhavent heard anything I thought I'd enquire then.0 -

Appears to be who you are talking about - I have already been in touch with them - however, they have already made a big mistake with their view of the rules - in that they claimed that my leg splint (that I can only wear for odd minutes due to sores and blisters) - was enough to prevent me from claiming even low rate mobility !
Without it - I am totally immobile.0
