Cant get ticket refund from AXS

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help with some advise around getting a refund on tickets purchase through AXS's website.

Its for one of the Hyde Park British Summer Time concerts. I realised I was too late for the standard entry tickets, as they had all sold out.

So I decided to treat myself and girlfriend to VIP tickets. I looked around the website and followed a link to the ticket sales.

There was lots of price options for the same ticket type. So I naturally picked the cheapest price.

I then found, after purchasing tickets, that there were even cheaper tickets available for the same ticket type in another section of the website.

I have asked for a refund of the tickets I purchased, saying I doesnt make sense for me to buy those tickets when I can get the same ones cheaper in the other section of the site.

They have since told me that they dont provide refunds to concerts that are not cancelled, and that I cant get a refund.

So my question is:
Does the 14 days, change of mind, consumer policy not apply here. Or can they indeed refuse me a refund if they specify this as a policy on their site?

Thanks
Stuart..

    It does not apply to
Contracts for accommodation, transport of goods, vehicle rental, catering or services related to leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.
    which is what you have

This doesn't make sense. Why would they have different prices for the same ticket type? Surely there must be some difference even if it isn't important to you, or was there some sort of early bird ticket?

Either way they are correct you aren't entitled to a refund.
  • Well thats a bummer :(

Not sure why they do it.

I was told the link I clicked to buy the tickets was to buy tickets from the event promoter/artist directly, rather than through AXS. Although its AXS's website you buy them through, which looks the very same as the other ticket sections.

The first customer rep I spoke to said he didnt think that section should be live, shown to users, until all other tickets at the lower price had sold first.

    Thanks anyway.
