PPI Interest Refund While on IVA - Aperture (Grant Thornton) delaying payment)
Options
Following a recent review of our income and expenditure (as a result of change in circumstances) we found out that our IVA company (Aperture, previously Grant Thornton) were due to pay us back the interest on a successful PPI claim they made on our behalf. They had made no proactive attempts to inform us of the refund and it simply appeared on our new financial breakdown. When I questioned this they finally got round to telling me that the refunds would be started in January 2016 - needless to say we are now in April and despite endless chasing I am constantly being given excuse after excuse - it's starting to become very much like dealing with a dodgy company you might expect to feature on Watchdog!
Aperture claim that they are the only company to offer this and that it's brand new - this isn't the case as I have found other forums which relate to the same issue when they traded under the name of Grant Thornton in 2014.
If you do have an IVA with Aperture (or had one with Grant Thornton) and have had any PPI refunds made to them I would suggest contacting them to ask about your interest refund and chase until you get it. I wonder how many people have never been paid what they are owed!
