Will my esa be stopped? (Esa50 problem)

I'm in the support group for severe mental health issues. I was sent an esa50 last month which I sent back and it was signed for last Tuesday. I rang last Friday and it hadn't been received so I sent another copy which was signed for today.

DWP & ATOS say they haven't received either, and on the letter it says if they don't receive it by 15th April my benefits may be stopped. I hVe 2 receipts of proof of postage, is it worth taking pictures and emailing them to atos or even emailing my esa50 to atos??

Thanks

You might of just confused things more by sending a second copy.... The time it takes to get from the sorting office to a processing person takes time ans days it doesn't happen when someone signs for it.
  • I put in a covering note explaining so hopefully not.

Just to clarify, you say the letters were signed for last Friday and on Monday this week. You then refer to receipts for proof of postage. Simple proof of postage isn't evidence that the item has been received at the other end. However, if you used tracked mail of some kind e.g. recorded delivery, you do have proof that it has been received by DWP / medical assessment and there would be no grounds to suspend your benefit.
If a situation does arise where they continue to claim the form can't be found, your safest route forward would be to take the completed ESA50 to your local Job Centre for them to forward. You would need to make an appointment at the JC and ask for a receipt!
