I'll be first to step up to the plate and say that this must be some sort of joke - although there are people out there who would be stupid enough to stump up the £89.

The experience of scams is being ripped off - the reason things like this appear is because not all of the wonderful British people have common sense. Some will fall for it. I wouldn't be surprised if the 'company' concerned disappeared after a while leaving everyone out of pocket.

    Keep well away.

Where did you get £690 from. Some things they have found me somewhere cheaper. Other things they haven't as I explained above, but overall I will get my I will get my membership fee back because of all the 10% refunds on the items they could match.
  • I received a call from Keith Childs of the Moneyclub. When he realised I wasn't interested he simply terminated the call!!

    This sounds fishy!

All the posts where people are biggin up Money Club are from people with 1/2 posts to their name...

Personally if someone asked me for 100 quid in the hope I will get things cheap..... Not a chance!!!

Never pay for things upfront lol! thats what I say!

Just had them on the phone as well. Thought better of it when they asked for bank details to set up a Direct Debit. I said I thought they would send out forms for this. Anyway, said it would have to be off my wife's account but she was on holiday at the moment. "If I could just have those details", excuse me!! Asked him to call back in 3 weeks time - hopefully he won't.

However, I checked out their website etc. and they seem quite open about their details, eg address etc. on website registration, company number etc. but don't give any useful information without logging in - which you have to register for.

Since he called I also found this thread but have since been wondering, how could I actually tell it was "The Money Club" anyway? The Money Club may well be a great company saving people loads of money - but I never rang him, he rang me, asking for my details.

This is about 3 days after my last call from a boiler room trying to sell me shares. I wound him up for about a week, he'd say he wouldn't call for a few days, but the next day, there he was, back on the phone. Gave up when he asked for my Passport number or Drivers License number - which I wasn't giving him. I asked for a website for them which he gave me, and he said he would call back the next day - nothing heard since - hooray!! However, their website (and their old extinct website) had only been around for a few weeks, moneyclub.co.uk was registered years ago.

If you are interesting in joining them, ring them yourself, don't give your details to someone who has rung you - especially when the number is withheld.
  • I don't know if this is a coincidence but I just got a phone call from someone called Shiv urging me to join the Money Club.
