Ex student - huge overdraft fees changes

Options
Can someone please help us
My daughter has a student Barclays account with £2000 over draft and having finished her degree they say in September they will be charging her £1.50 per day
She is working but in a low paid educational role and has student loans too
Barclays have said she can't transfer the debt either
Many thanks

See the quick link above labelled 'Cut Overdraft Costs', but it really boils down to: what are her plans for repaying this debt?

Well, IIRC, one doesn't need to repay a student loan unless making more than £17.5K p.a. - that I wouldn't call 'low paid'.

What graduate account options has she investigated?

Convert the debt into an affordable personal loan.

Looks like barclays offer a graduate account where the first £1500 is fee free and anything over that amount is 50p a day, not £1.50.

Maybe get the overdraft down to £1500 to save extra fees.

Have a look at this link
