Mira Sport 9KW Shower

We have now fitted two of these Showers into our house since we moved in five years ago and again its packed up after approx 30 months.
Its not as if we are a big family just the two of us,called Mira yesterday to enquire if they could assist, about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
They confirmed they could send someone out for £159 to have a look at the problem because the warranty is for two years only, thats a joke when Plumbworld are selling these new at £170.
Anyone else having issues with this make and model

Yes, and it's not just Mira I'm afraid.

Virtually all manufacturers have cottoned onto the idea of built in obsolescence. I have a number of rental flats, and the showers last a similar time to yours nowadays.

The only thing I can suggest is to go on Ebay and buy a 1980's/90's shower that is still in its box, and install that. These last about 15 to 20 years in my experience.

My father as got a Triton which is seventeen years old and still running perfectly.
The issue i have was the attitude of the Mira representative who would not make me buy Mira again

Why is it dying? Could it be attributed to hard water clogging up the heat exchanger etc .. ? Whilst these showers aren't built like they used to be; perhaps you've got an underlying issue here and it's not really the showers fault so to speak.

We have that Mira 9KW Sport shower, fitted five years ago when we had a bathroom refit, used daily by both of us and never had any problems with it so far but we are in a soft water area.
