Electoral roll issue

Hello
I've recently started trying to improve my credit rating as I would like to apply for a mortgage in a few years time.
I've been living at the same address for 10 years now. When I first moved in I was registered on the Electoral Roll for the first year then have been 'unregistered' since then (primarily because I didn't want to vote, blah blah, now realising this was a very short sighted view!). As such the CRAs show me as being on the ER at my current address for 2006-2007
In December last year I contacted my local council and registered to be on the lighter version of the register (as I didn't want every Tom, !!!! & Harry to know my details). I received a letter from the council perhaps 2 months ago confirming that I had been registered, not sure why it took so long but anyway, assumed I would now be down as living at my address.
However, both CRAs which I am registered with (Noddle & Clearscore) still show me as not being on the ER at my current address. Clearscore simply says 'not on electoral roll' whilst Noddle states 'not present on edited roll'
Are these CRAs unable to see me on the ER because I'm not present on the edited register? Would a credit lender be able to view me as on the roll at my current address.
How will this work when applying for credit as having 2 'stints' if you like at the same address separated by 9 years? Can I put that I have lived here for 10 years?
Also should I wait a bit longer until trying to apply for a credit builder card as I don't want excessive searches to put me in a worse position

Only a mad person who loves spam would choose to be on the edited list! Credit reference agencies have access to the full register so no need to be on the edited one for credit purposes.0

The issue wasn't so much whether or not I had to be on the edited register, I was aware that the CRA search the 'full' register when applying for credit, moreso why it was taking so long for the CRAs to realise I was registered on the ER?
Also why the noddle report goes as far as to say I am not present on the edited register, as though this is all it can search when showing me my report??0 -
Could you phone your local council and see if they will write you or print you out something that you could forward to the credit reference agency to show how long you have been on the ER0

I have the Same issue so I emailed the council asking why it's not showing up. I then got an email back and forwarded it to Credit expert so they have now updated it there. However Noodle and clear score are not updated I did email them they said they want confirmation from the council before they can add me. It's really bad that I have to chase as it has a huge impact.0

So does this mean that when applying for credit, our ER details are 'stored' into the CRA or do they do a 'LIVE' search of the ER at that moment??0

Below link might help?

In my experience it can sometimes take as long as 6 months for changes to the electoral roll to appear on credit reference agency files0 -

It's all down to this new-fangled thing called electronic communication. Local councils and the CRAs are still not up to speed with it.0
