Suite goes out of fashion too quickily

I buy a new suite about once per year from Next. I hardly ever wear the blazer. I end up buying a new blazer every year (about £180) because the trousers that match the blazer (matching code) are removed from the shelves after about three months.

I guess this is to force you to buy a new suite every year. Is there another shop anyone can recommend were the suits do not go out of fashion too quickly.

Assuming you aren't a yo-yo dieter, could you not buy 2 or 3 pairs of trousers when you buy the suite?

    Buy more trousers?

Keep an eye out as they will likely reduce or sale it at some point so buy 2 or 3 up front?

  • What do you mean out of fashion? Do you mean the trousers fade quicker than the jacket? Why not take the jacket to work and put it over your chair?

I thought the point of a blazer was that it doesn't have matching trousers but can be paired with any suitable trousers

I never understand how men stay 'fresh' using just one pair of trousers.

Surely, unless it's a suit that is only worn occasionally, you'd always want to buy at least two pairs of trousers wouldn't you?

Surely the advantage of men's tailoring is that it's classic and doesn't date from one year to another?

Just buy two pairs of trousers (more hygenic anyway) and one jacket. (Not all jackets are blazers anyway.)

You should always but an extra pair of trousers , as they wear out quicker.

As you noticed OP, you need to buy them when you buy a new suit not afterwards, I tend to get 6 months to a year out of an off the peg suit before it goes to the charity shop.
