Would like some information please............
Having being badly injured as a result of someone elses' negligence, it is likely I will receive a lump sum payment as compensation for the life-changing injuries I sustained.
I am aware that the DWP will recover any DLA benefits that I have been paid, from any compensation I may receive, for up to a maximum period of 5 years from the original claim date or to the day on which such an agreement is made (whichever comes first)
I also know that the compensator is liable for that payment and it will be deducted from any compensation due to me.
My question is this:
After that compensation is repaid to the DWP CRU what happens to any future DLA that I continue to claim ? I am of pension age and there will never be any improvement in the condition that I now have. I will continue to be eligible for DLA so as it is a 'non-means tested' benefit how will that affect me ? Thanks in advance....

Thanks Xylophone. I shall have a browse at that. At the moment I only get state pension and DLA neither of which are means tested, but who knows what the future holds. Thanks again...........0
