Satellite TV, phone and internet packages in countryside, (ex Virgin Media customer)

Hi, Total newbie here. I subscribed to the Big Kahuna package by Virgin Media for the last 12 months but have recently relocated to the country and cannot get service from Virgin. I'd like to get something similar from SKY and wondered what was available with the same kind of options, realising that I'm unlikely to get such fast internet speed in a rural area.

If you live in the middle of nowhere you're unlikely (but not impossible) to get a decent broadband speed.
Have a look at this:

Sky Broadband/Phone isn't the cheapest (and often not the most reliable either if the reports on the board are anything to go by) so it may be worth using another provider for that and Sky for TV.
Your Sky TV will work, as all you need is a dish pointing at the right bit of the sky0 -

You can get some very good deals from Sky and the impression of poor quality service could well be because only people having problems tend to post.0 -
You will need to check what is available from your local exchange. Sky LLU services may not be.
Use Samknows website https://www.samknows.com/broadband/broadband_checker0 -
To get anything approaching VM cable speeds over a BT-based line, you will need to be able to get an FTTC service rather than plain vanilla ADSL, this will depend on whether your street cab has been updated for fibre. The number checker on any of the provider sites, including Sky, will tell you instantly what service and estimated speeds you can get.
All you need for Sky TV is a dish and a line of sight to the satellite (trees can be a problem).
Forget Sky broadband if you are not on a Sky LLU exchange, as you'll only be able to get the dire Sky Connect service (non-LLU).No free lunch, and no free laptop0
