Barclaycard statement delays

Barclaycard changed their statement production routine in January. Since then it take three days from the statement date to access the statement online. Repeated complaints have just received boiler plate repliesd sating that they are working on it. Three months to solve a simple PDF production problem? Sheer incompetence IMHO. Today they phoned me in response to my latest complaint and just trotted out the same story so I told them to report it to their superior. Has anyone else got this problem?

When I had my Barclaycard Initial (until recently) it was around two working days before I could view my statement online (despite it being 'posted' on a certain date).

Even though I'd kept on track of what I'd spent (and had a Direct Debit in place) it was annoying having to wait for something that should be easily accessible online.

  • I complained about this in February as it was the second time it had happened. I said it wasn't fair that they were charging me interest when I couldn't even check my monthly statement including minimum amount. They refunded me over £20 in interest for that month and said things would improve. Might give them another soon actually....

With my Barclaycard I get just about a full month from statement date to "due" date. This is more generous than any other card I have. This more than makes up for a couple of days' delay in being able to view my statement (which I haven't noticed).

Download the barclaycard Android/IOS app, the statement amount and min payment are available in real time throgh there. (Or at least are for me).
