Citifinancial PPI Claim Battle

Hi everyone,
Hopefully someone can help.
I sent off my claim back in Novermber last year to Citifinancial, signed their offer and sent it back with proof of change of address and a certified copy of my driving licence as I am now married.
They keep sending the documents back, they have kept copies for their records and then send another letter saying the info I have sent is invalid. I have done this 3 times now and it is driving me mad!!!
I received post today, thinking it was my payment and it was another letter to say they had invalid info. Each letter they send is the same, doesn't give anything more and so I am now at the end of my tether:( is there something out there which they have to comply with in not making claims difficult for people??
Think the next step will have to be the Ombudsman which I didn't really want to do as I have spent so much time back and forth with these guys!!!
Thanks you for your help

If you go to the Ombudsman it will probably cause another, bigger delay in receiving your redress.
I would write to someone in a more senior position in Citi and send your letter by special delivery with copies of your change of surname evidence.
Have a look on their website for a name (responsible for customer complaints) to contact. It used to be Paul Clark, but check first.0 -
Had the exact same problem and I was dealing with the claims guys to help me. I sent a bank statement, dated within the last month and the signed agreement and received my cheque yesterday after 4 months. Think it's just a delaying tactic. Sad thing is, I only got £81.82 so it probably cost them more to keep messing me round. Good luck and keep persevering.0

How much did you have to pay the Claims Guys to "help" you put a stamp on your complaint?Sarahwest14 wrote: »I only got £81.820 -
At a rough guess, based on getting £81 herself, about £40-£45.Moneyineptitude wrote: »How much did you have to pay the Claims Guys to "help" you put a stamp on your complaint?
Just for putting a letter in an envelope, putting a stamp on it and putting it into the post.
Nice work if you can get it!0
