Transferring Card Balance From Foreign Card To UK Card

Hello,
I am wondering whether it is possible to transfer a balance from a foreign Credit Card (in this case, a Swiss one) to a card in the UK to get a 0% rate.
I have tried with my UK Barclaycard online and got the expected general failure.
Does anyone know of a UK card that can accept a foreign balance or it this legally prohibited?
