Cat Making A Distress Cry

Lately my cat has been making a loud cry like she is distressed when I leave a room she is in. And the other day she was sat outside on the fence just calm and nothing wrong then she just did it out of nowhere. She stopped when I picked her up though. Is it attention seeking? it seems so.

It can be a symptom of a thyroid problem.. or just dementia.. my old man has both and he drives us to distraction.. he yowls so much I have to put him in another room sometimes!

He has no control around raw/cooking meat.

He randomly pees in strange places too.
