Debt not removed from credit report after DRO but is this worth pursuing

    Its either six years from the default or six years from the dro date.

    in my case all debts included were in default, a year or more, before the dro. So I'm happy they don't acknowledge the dro, my six years wil be up early.

    It's only tax credits that I wish would acknowledge the dro.


    I just wanted to clarify that the DRO will be reflected on your credit file for six years from when it was approved, regardless of whether individual creditors have "acknowledged" it or not. This has a greater bearing on your creditworthiness than any default markers on specific accounts.


    Unless HMRC raised a formal objection to your DRO they have no choice but to abide by it. Are you saying that they are still attempting to pursue you for a Tax Credits overpayment that was included in the DRO?
