How Much to Fit Vectra Rear Indicator Glass

Hi.
Just noticed today something/somebody has cracked my Vectra's rear indicator glass.
Would you recommend that I get a replacement from a scrap yard, as opposed to Ebay? I wouldn't have the tools to remove it at the scrappy myself.
Also, roughly how much would it cost to fit at a garage?
Thanks in advance.

What model vectra is it... I have the vectra c estate and it's a doddle to replaced light unit comes as a complete piece and is held in by 3 plastic screws on the inside within the boot storage areas. Unscrew these, unclip the electric ccable to the lights and unscrew the bulb socket (2 screws). Reassemble with the new light unit in reverse order. I presume the saloon version is similar.
Scrap yard or eBay would be similar prices I'd have thought but for mine they are definitely on ebay as i was looking for the bulb holder recently.0 -
Rear lights tend to be really easy to fit with basic tools. You could try to loosen yours to see whats involved.
If its not showing any white light its legal to drive as it it. If its only cracked try superglue.0 -

Thanks, at present I am not 100% sure of the model. It's from about 2007, and is a hatchback. I reckon all the models will be similar however, and I will look inside boot tomorrow to see if glass can be unscrewed.
I will also try and find some Youtube tutorials on doing the replacement.

If your unsure don't start DIYing something involving the braking system. It has brake lights you need. Start with something simple like a clutch or a fuel pump0

If it's that late it's a Vectra C, ran from 2002 - 2009 with a face lift around 2006, though this really only was front end, grill headlights etc, rear lights, as far as I'm aware are the same.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

Yes I am pretty sure you are correct - thanks.0 -
The OP has been told before is an 'C'. If like the estate the rear lamps are held on by three large plastic knurled knobs very easy to remove.
However there are at least two different lens colours one for most models one for SRi etc models.
Shall we take bets on how many new threads the OP will open on this one subject now?

I never intentionally forgot the model, it temporarily slipped my mind (from a previous post, last year.) Anyway, I am making progress and reckon I could fix it myself for about £20.0 -
I've just managed to replace the indicator myself. If anyone else needs to do this, I can say it is indeed very easy. All you need is a small spanner. Total cost about £24.99.
