I think OP you are failing to see the point that some people are trying to get at. There is one wage coming in to my house as I am on my own with two children. Yes, they should be treated and presents bought but if you don't rein things in now and spend within your means then somewhere down the line you may realise it is too late and the amount of stress of debt etc is even harder to deal with. I am talking from experience.

My eldest needed a new coat. £80 for the one she wants. She knows there is no chance in the world I can just pop up the money but she does know I will search eBay etc to find her a preloved one. There are ways to keep within your budget you just have to find what works for you.

With regards to your loan if you have not contacted them, do so, write if you are not confident on the phone. Explain your situation and include a budget if need be.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

I was advised to go to citizen advice and apparently they should freeze the interest? Then I can offer to pay them back monthly?
    .

Yes speak to the lender as that is ultimately what happens - so why haven't you? Instead you are wasting time posting on a forum saying you'll never take one out again, though I would like to add if you call them make sure they do enter your account so your troubles are definitely recorded. (This is from personal experience)

Ideally I would say write but understand sometimes people are desperately anxious to get resolved, which this absolutely can with a bit of patience and working with them rather then avoidance, then you will look back and think oh what was the worry! Things can change in days, weeks, months, worst thing you can do is to lose sight of this.

About as far as my empathy goes when taking out a loan you couldn't afford or couldn't manage which gets everyone who takes out these loans then very much tarred and ignorance propelled as I can't say honestly in 2015 even of e x t r e m e interest, there was a reason why you took out a payday loan? Why nobody else would help.
All will be ok if you have managed some payment or attempt.

Who is OP? What are you on about? I have reported you.

    Gosh, overreaction much.

I was simply pointing out that you (OP = opening/ original poster) appeared to be building up a post count of brief and irrelevant posts in order to advertise a website, something which said website owner has done on several forums. Coincidence? Who knows ...

I hope you get your debts sorted out in the near future ;)

She cant, she works full time as a Mum.

You got a car ? She can do customer shopping surveys

    OR

She can do surveys at home, takes a while to make it worthwhile.

Cut down on your spending, stop buying the brand's, shop at the discounters.

Advice has been posted and it's down to you to action it. I'm sure your kids wouldn't have bothered not going to the cinema to see star wars, the DVD at £10, popcorn and pop is a cheaper option.

For future reference it isn't a requirement to have presents at christmas, just 1 small present each is enough.

I was very sympathetic to your predicament and was about to post in here some constructive ideas as to how to deal with your debt. I looked at your old posts when someone mentioned you spent £80 on a family cinema trip and saw that at 12:39pm today you posted that you are going to use a 40% Prezzo discount to take the wife out for date night https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/70479720#Comment_70479720

John it's a tough world and splashing out on £80 cinema trips (incidentally there is a cinema near me which shows all the latest releases for £2.50 each mon-fri) and then perhaps £30-40 on date night is not going to shift the payday loan which is likely to be charging horrendous daily interest so any payment towards it will help to reduce the amount you pay. If you don't pay, then what? Default, CCJ both of which will totally screw you financially for 6 years rather than cutting back in luxuries for a bit and clearing what you owe.

John, reality check you cannot expect productive assistance with your payday loan when you cannot help yourself.

I don't believe you are genuine - why?

Because back in August you posted this:

has anyone tried those free dating websites? I signed up through a dating review site and they advertised a free dating site, I created my profile etc.. and then they charged me £29.95, after saying it was free? Completely confused, does anyone know how I can get my money back?

    Then this today:

You must be such a loser, you know nothing about me or my past so why would you do that? I was with my wife for 12 years and we split up in June last year for about 6 months, and I wont tell you why! Unless you want to check into my past even more?

Not until you've paid off the loan.

If you keep spending money on non-essentials, you'll be in debt forever.
