Spark Energy - Wrong estimates over previous months and now a huge bill?

Seems an expensive convenience paying, in my case, an extra £429 a year. I get a bill every month by submitting readings and my account goes from credit to debit and back again as the year goes on. By taking responsibility for my own readings and account management I save almost £36 every month. Each to their own though.0

Hi AutoFace
Apologies for not chiming in sooner. I can see you've had some good advice already from forum members.
My advice would echo Cardew's, but I'd also like to double check your account and bills, so if you'd like to get in touch with me via my profile then I'd be happy to revisit what our agent has already advised you.
If you do get in touch please confirm your forum name, your real name and your supply address.
Hope to hear from you.
Kind regards
Jenny

The OP admits that the total claimed, including the latest bill, does agree with what they owe up to the latest meter reading .
They arguing that they shouldn't have been under-charged and then be expected to catch up, but I'm afraid it was up to them to realise that they would owe money if the bills were obvious underestimates.0
