Hi
My son tried Bluetooth on it and said it worked fine.
I don't know about the Ipod.

Is it easy to use with iPod on Bluetooth?
Which iPod, exactly? If it's got Bluetooth, then yes, you just pair it with the speaker/headphones, and it'll connect again next time they're both on and near each other. If it doesn't have Bluetooth, you're a bit stuck, but you can add dongles etc.
iPod classic/video never had bluetooth. Touch might, Nano might, Shuffle doesn't.0 -

Hi all,
Can people recommend a good sound system / hi-fi for a living room?
Something that produces really good quality sound, doesn't look too bulky / ugly in a living room. Something subtle.
I would like to use it for general chill-out music and for house parties.
I am willing to spend £150 or so.
Problem here is the subjectiveness of it all. "Really good sound quality" and "£150" do not match up. Some people pay thousands trying to achieve that!
Hi-fi quality does come in small attractive bundles and there are many good reviews online but having got a few ideas such as the Sony system best go see and hear it to make up your own mind. Someone might write 'great' and you might not be impressed or vice versa.
That Quad etc system mentioned is good but very old now but I doubt you can get one for £150!! though there are often excellent systems available reasonably on the second hand market......and some of the smaller modern systems are really very good - for the price!0 -
Get a decent branded system with good 3 way speakers and as high of output in watts as your budget will allow.
Here is an example

I bought Audio Engine 5 speakers and never looked back.
They are only speakers but the sound is of studio quality.0 -
I think your best bet would be to get a second and mini hifi from ebay. Denon made some good systems that will be in your range. Case of looking on there then finding reviews for the specific model.
Really good sound quality isnt going to happen for £150 though, add a zero on the end and you might get somewhere.0 -
You could buy used - £150 isn't going to get a lot new.0

I've got a Yamaha CRX-550 with Mission made Denon speakers.

I got it used, and it replaced a brand new Panasonic SC-PM250BEBS micro HIFI which sounded very poor. It also didn't have any external input which was a real letdown.
The Yamaha sounds really excellent and in fact comes very close to my main Marantz full size HiFI system. Excellent for CDs and I also use it with a Chromecast audio where it also performs well.
The unit is small and compact and I'm really pleased with it.0 -

They are fine for my needs. Not the same presence as a hifi separates system though.0
