Tax Credits - Few Questions

Evening,

Hoping somebody can help please, slight complicated query.

My wife and I receive child tax credits, we have 1 daughter who is disabled and gets DLA at the middle rate. We earn roughly £28,000 between us (me full time, wife part time) and receive around £310.00 per month in tax credits (this also includes some credit for child care).

My wife has recently applied and been successful in a job part time to fit around her current role. She wants the job and it's something that interests her. The only problem is wondering how this will affect our tax credit claim as the hours aren't guaranteed and it's a minimum hours contract. She has told them the hours she can do and they will give her hours each week.

How do we update tax credits, we don't want a massive overpayment. Is there a website where I can put the figures in?

Many thanks.

You'll be asked to provide them with an estimated income for the tax year.

    It's best to overestimate this.
