Buyout of minimum term

I have been with Sky for years but am fed up with the price rises.
Due to haggling for a deal last year, I am in a minimum term until September
I was offered a great deal with Virgin and when I said I was locked in until September their rep said they could 'sort it out for me'
Unfortunately I was in a rush and couldn't wait but I thought that this didn't happen any more
My question is therefore, will virgin pay off the buyout clause I have in my sky contract?
If not I will just have to put up with the rise for a couple of months until the term is up.

'Sort it out' sounds very ambiguous. I'd phone back and get it in writing before you do anything with Sky.
As a side note, Virgin annually put up their prices as well, so frying pan into the fire springs to mind!0
