Can anyone help please. My Venetian blind has broken, I was cleaning it and I managed to snap the closer thingy.
Any way I've measured the old blind and its 83cm wide and 32cm long.
I can't seem to find a ready made blind in this size, am I measuring it wrongly?
Sorry but I'm not very good at measuring!

Probably made to measure. Take a look on Blinds2Go, will cost less than you think.
That said, a 32cm foot drop sounds odd. That's just over a foot.
You need to measure the size of the window opening - width and drop - in three different places and use the smallest measurement.0 -
Whoops!! Just checked and its 1 metre 82 wide and 1 metre 32 drop.
Told you I was rubbish at measuring.0 -
You can buy plastic blinds which can be cut to size DIY.Forgotten but not gone.0

Hi,
what is actually broken, can you post a picture?
You may be able to repair it, do a search for 'venetian blind spares/repair, you can also get you tube help video.0 -
I have ordered venitian blind at 247blinds.co.uk. They made exactly size what I need, just write your size in order. And their venitian blinds are aluminium and really flexible . You can see on youtube how 247blinds look like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV348p2paYc0

I recently had a similar accident with one of my wooden blinds & was more than delighted to find that this company sold the bit that I needed to fix the blind. You just need to check what sort of fitting is on the wand as apparently there are a couple of different types. Great company service as my bit arrived the following day! http://blindsnbits.co.uk/
I found a You Tube clip that showed me just what to do to replace the broken part, so it was pretty easy to fix.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
