Attendence Allowance?

Is chronic diverticulitis a condition that would merit AA. I ask for a friend who really suffers with this and associated problems.

AA is about the care needs of a person - not about the illness it self.

Do some reading on the internet to find out about this. To get you started

Or your friend can go to CAB or ask Ageuk for some help/support about claiming AA.

We have just done this. Make sure you get qualified help with filling the form in. We didn't and had to appeal. We got it in the end, last week.
You always answer any question with your worst day scenario. We said on a good day we can do it, but on a bad day we can't. Don't say things like that. Always answer about your worst day. hTH

If you do this, you risk your claim being seen as fraudulent.

    totally agree with above.

to give only information on 'bad days' is fraud.
by all means say what bad days are like, but you also have to give information of better days too

i also think the "worst day" is bad advice / or if taken out of context bad advice:

if you write down your "worst day", then you have to prove that those "worst days" happen regulary as result of illness.

or else it kind of means you are lying...
