Rhodes or Fuerteventura Oct half term?

Hey folks
Just after some good ol' advice from MSErs :-)
Found two amazingly cheap deals for Oct half term - exact same price....so where do we go?!
We went to Rhodes last Oct half term for our honeymoon and absolutely fell in love with the place, so much so we would go back again (something unheard of in our house as we like to try different places).
But then having a play around I found another deal to Fuerteventura - never been there before but we don't know anyone else who has been. Only downside is it's not flying from our nearest airport (Newcastle) but Edinburgh.
Help us decide MSErs :-)

Some don't like the wind on Fuerteventura.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

When you go out from Edinburgh you will be in holiday mood and not that bothered, when you get back and face a 2/3 hour drive on top of the time in airport you will not be so happy. We always fly from Newcastle because we only live just down the road and even after a late/bad/long flight at least we are normally home within the hour.
Best of luck with your holidays which ever you choose.0 -
Some don't like the wind on Fuerteventura.
Might need to change the diet then?
OP - fuertaventyra is windy but would be warmer. There's probably more to do on Rhodes, however given the political situation you might expect the canaries to offer fewer discounts than the Greek islands, so they might offer better value.
I'd expect fuertaventyra to be cheaper than Rhodes once you are there.0 -
Not been to Rhodes, but Fuerteventura, s one of the very few places we didn't enjoy0

Not been to Rhodes but Fuerteventura is stunning, high quality island with excellent beach, desert like landscape with great mountains too, we were impressed admittedly ten years or so ago but thought it the best of the Canaries.0

Google things like temperatures and hours of sun light.
My guess is the Fuertaventura will win on both. Oh, check rainfall too.0 -
been to both loved both places stayed at lindos stunning place great bars and restuarants, but long way from airport 65 euros each way. stayed in corallejo. nice beaches lots of wind sports, good bars and restuarants slightly cheaper than lindos, not much outside of town, 30 mins to airport, laid back feel to it , lindos just edges it for me. but would recomend both.0

Well we've booked Fuerteventura - £690 for Oct half term, can't grumble at that. Very excited :-)
