this is the only item I have (and probably will ever) purchase from very, am i entitled to the credit interest on my very store credit they charge me refunded?

Seriously. you need to chill the *!$£ down.
If the item is refunded then your account will be brought to £0 (given its all you have bought)
Why did you pay to return? Very offer a free returns service via Collect+ & POC.
    Do you purchase online much?

No I don't purchase online much. I paid to return to get the laptop back within 28 days as their free return can apparently take up to 5 days. sorry for sounding pannicky, it's just I really need the return so I can buy another laptop. My thesis is due and i'm really struggling.

Hi guys, Very have not refunded me, I provided them with the tracking number and the item was delivered. They told me they can not locate the item and deny having it (they previously told me they have the item and will refund me within 14 days) they have asked for an extra 7 days, as apparently this is their policy with electrical goods.

They told me if the item does not turn up there is little they can do for me.
I requested all my phone calls with them to be sent to my home adress as they have previously admitted to having the item.

    What should I do now?
  • Are you phoning them,if so try email,I find I get more help by this method and it creates a paper record if a later date you decide to use the small claims route help@littlewoods.com

are very and littlewoods the same thing? and yes I was ringing them. i'm pretty stressed about the whole thing, I wish they would hurry up. what should I state in my email
  • Sorry my mistake,help@very.co.uk(they are both part of the Shop Direct group).
Outline your complaint and ask them to confirm receipt of the laptop, just be aware that they might not reply for a couple of days.
Are you on twitter, try tweeting them, they have always been the most helpful,https://twitter.com/verynetwork, I refuse to phone them now

Get it in writing that they don't have it and then it's small claims court time, I'd have said. If the tracking says that it was delivered and they don't have it then they've lost it. I can't see how you could possibly lose.

Other than the fact that you were pretty sure from the beginning that this was going to happen. Which suggests to me that there's more to this than you've told us.

OP, have you hard evidence of the tracking showing delivery?

Make sure you take a screenshot now - it might come in handy later.
RM won't keep the information on their site forever.

I 'knew' this was going to happen because It shouldn't take 10 days to issue a refund from when I sent it back, 10 days is really excessive, and when I rang them they were unhelpful. I waited till almost the 14 days were up that they had to refund before posting. To add to this point: whenI first rang them (2 weeks ish) ago they told me they would not process a refund unless I provided them with a refference number from the supplier, and that sending the item back would result in me being out of pocket and them not resending the item back to me(if that makes sense) the supplier refused to give me a number (not refused as such, they didn't know what I was talking about asking for a reference number to provide to Very and couldn't help me)

In the end they told me to send it back.

I expect that they have the item, but are unable to process it without that number (which I don't think is my fault?)

they are really unhelpful and are unable to help me. I will email them.

Will the phone records saying they have recieved it and a refund will be back in my account within 14 days be sufficient for court?

Also I am relying on the phone calls as I quoted the post office track and trace number to them over the phone. But currently need to root through my stuff to find the reciept. However I have a credit card statement showing I posted it and They said they had it over the phone, surely that is sufficient evidence? after emailing what should be next steps be?

Who knows whether what you have is sufficient or not?

The more information you have the better.
It sounds to me that you have lost the receipt and therefore cannot provide the tracking number.

Next action - get looking for that receipt.

It really is important to have real evidence before even considering a court case.
