We are in deadlock with BES utilities, the agent sold us a 5yr contract. They charge massive amounts for a one room office,
I wondered if anyone had managed to get out of their contract,
The person who agreed to this ridiculous contract are no longer with the company, but BES say it is the company not the person who is named on the contract.
So anyone managed to get rid of them ?

I suggest you use Google and search for BES Utilities. You have my sympathy.0

If it's a business contract, and the person who signed it was authorised to do so on behalf of the company, then the fact that they are no longer employed does not invalidate the contract! So BES are correct in that respect. No consumer contract, no consumer protection. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I was led to believe (because that is what you previously posted) that you were issued with the deadloack letter back in February

You would have been advised what options were open to you. e.g. on taking independent advice.
Assuming you are a micro-business, have you asked the ombudsman to assist you? (as you were advised to do on 29-02-2016 in that thread by a fellow MSE'er). If so, what is their response?0
