Matching paint for Chartwell Green Rockdoor

Can anybody help with paint codes for a match to Rockdoor's Chartwell Green or suggest a retailer who can achieve a good match from a sample?

Rockdoor suggested RAL6021, but it was very different to the door. A Google search brought up an article suggesting 14C35 as a match to Solidoor's Chartwell Green. That's a better match but still not quite there.

I've got a sample from Rockdoor and have taken this to both B&Q and Brewers, but neither of their paint matching machines have been able to come up with a good result - the machine gives them a quality score when they scan the colour and, for some reason, neither was predicting a high quality match from the data.

This is costing a fortune in (unused) paint, so any advice would be gratefully received.

I bought a RAL chart a few years back and use it to match colours myself. I have a very good 'eye' and it sounds like it's the sort of thing you should be doing yourself. I will try and see where I bought the chart from.

    Edit - try here. https://www.ralcolorchart.com/buy-ral-color-chart
  • Thanks for the suggestion. It's worth a try.

However, does anybody have experience of a company who can provide a really accurate match from a composite door surface sample?

I had a similar problem and tool my sample to B&Q for a Valspar colour match.

It was a royal pain. The finish on the garage door frame told them to use paint for wood or metal but I wanted paint for masonry. After a bit of um-ing and ah-ing the paints and mixtures we're manually changed. It looked absolutely nothing like it in the tin but once painted, and dried with a hair dryer, it was a very close match.

    Hi
Did anybody ever find a suitable match to the Chartwell Green Rockdoor? Or is BS14C35 Iceplant green the best match?
    Many thanks
