Just wondering if the Santander Everyday Current Account would be acceptable to open then apply for the Regular e-saver @ 5% putting in £200/mth for 12 months?
Or do I need the Santander 123 account.
Thanks.

You need to fund it from a Santander current account. Santander have various types of current accounts. The regular e-saver is not exclusive to the 123 current account.0

They'll almost certainly recommend their 123 current account as that will by £5 a month for them. This account may or may not be suitable for you.
The Santander Everyday current account is free and should be sufficient to get access to the 123 Regular Saver.
Information about both accounts is on the Santander website, and you can apply for either of them online.0 -
You'll also need the patience of a saint, both to sit on the phone for 30 mins or so waiting for them to answer and then to sit through 15 minutes of T&C nonsense and answer a variety of personal questions, most of which have no relevance whatsoever to opening a savings account but need to be answered in order for the application to continue.Ethical moneysaver0
