Sorry for starting a new thread but couldn't see a general FD thread although sure there is one. Just wondering how long after switch FD pay the £150 bonus? I have had my account for two around a month and have paid in £1000 as required and have a separate saver account too. Wife switched to hsbc around same time and has had hers already.
Thanks all

When they should pay it by is detailed in the incentive T&Cs on their website (the wording of which is exactly the same as your £150 offer). Are you outside that period yet?0

From memory, it's 28 days from all conditions being met (ie the later date of the switch being completed and £1000 having been paid in: these dates might be the same if the switch involved a credit balance of at least £1k transferring).0

I got mine within 7 days of switch being completed0

thanks all - my account open on 14th march, £1000 requirement paid in around 24th...i'll wait until the 24th of this month (when the next grand goes in) and will give them a ring if still nothing showing.0

You're fortunate which such a quick and easy switch. Mine has been a nightmare: Joined before end of Feb to qualify for £150 via MSE link (nothing to confirm this 'cashback' will happen) and phoned First Direct (always a long wait to speak to customer service - not so long to carry out day to day telephone banking, I hope) to set up what I thought was going to be a switching date on 18th March this year.
No. Apparently, yet another email was sent to me with yet another password I had to remember and yet another phone call to them to confirm that I wanted to switch bank accounts (what was the first call for then???). Having not received that email (or accidentally deleted it) nothing happened and no one from First Direct cared enough to call me back to enquire why I hadn't come back to them.
The level of security, while commendable, means that there are huge numbers of passwords and security questions to remember (I'm sorry, I have to write them down since I cannot keep track of all of them - which kind of undermines the concept of security).
I really, really wanted to belong to a bank whose customer care was excellent, and to come onto MSE and sing their praises. I have yet to be convinced with First Direct as I take this leap of faith.0 -
They took ages with mine, sent a secure message and they put it in within a couple of days.
Not sure what everyone raves about though, phone banking they are ok but everything else is average or below! Take the other £100 for leaving...0 -

The incentive is paid within 28 working days of the criteria being met so it will be 28 days from the 24th March. The switch doesnt usually happen on the day your account opens, are you sure the switch completed on the 14th ?0 -
Switched and got mine about 3 weeks after my wage was paid in.
I've been happy so far- they are very helpful when I call them up, and you don't have to go through menus when you call. My waiting on hold for someone average has been about 3 minutes which I think is good.0
