Private parking ticket

My son got a ticket for parking in booths in Manchester - he was 10 mins over - he got a ticket for £100 - I appealed but got no reply- I've had 2 red letters and one reduced payment letter from mydebycolletor - my question is that the their paperwork back to me has the wrong date / Wrong invoice number and wrong time - will this be enough to tnrow the case out before I even start to defend myself for disappropriate fees?
Thank you cazzaa29

VCS and DR+ are not the same companies

VCS is a scamming private parking company

DR+ are the same as PCS (parking collection services) and are toothless debt collectors with a account with staples to buy as much red ink as they need.

the debt collectors will have no facts (dates/times etc) they are simply a "no collect no fee setup)

debt collectors CANNOT take you to court.

as you are now at the debt collectors stage , please read https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5035663

two questions if I may be so bold ....

1 have you read through the newbies thread ?

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

2 have you complained to the manager ay Booths ?

    Ralph:cool:
  • No - I appealed to the VCS but got no reply - I used a template from the forum which was excellent but was ignored. I then started with the onslaught of dr+ demanding letters - I will contact Booths this week as suggested -
    And thank you ...

I used a template from the forum which was excellent but was ignored. I appealed but got no reply

So you emailed an appeal as we tell people to (not post) and so...did you forget to include your postal address? VCS always acknowledge email appeals and respond further, unless people omit information like a postal address. If you posted a letter that would be pointless and a wasted stamp.

You are still at the stage expected but it is odd an appeal was ignored as they do not do this normally unless people post snail mail.
I then started with the onslaught of dr+ demanding letters

That was exactly as expected. Big deal, ignore them.

Nothing else to do expect complain to the retailer which should have been the first step, as the NEWBIES thread tells you - always complain.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
