Hi
I had an old Barclay card with a £1 credit on it for years, finally got round to closing the account and having the money transferred into my bank account,I was informed that the account was now closed.
I just tried Barclay s soft search and it said I would not be successful.
Any idea how long I will have to wait ?? ..MSE check shows plenty of other cards that I would be accepted for
Cheers Paul B

Its 6 years to drop off your record, however i believe between 6 and 18 months is the new customer period0

When I closed my Barclaycard Initial credit card at the tail end of last month I was told I could reapply after six months from date of closure.
