Middle February when I applied via Moneysupermarket.com, I am pretty sure requirement that Salary/Pension credit etc be paid into account was in TCB T+C, I organised for such a credit to go into my new account from end of March.

The requirement has been in Co-Operative Bank - T+C since at least August 2014

What it actually says in the COOP T&Cs is
To have an account you must receive a regular payment (i.e. wage, salary, pension) which you must pay into your account

There is no definition of what "wage, salary, pension" means, and I think they mean "e.g." rather than "i.e". In any case, though, the COOP is not in a position to determine who pays my/your wage/salary as they cannot (and need not) know who pays my/your monthly income.

Anyway, the COOP have been paying the monthly reward o.k. since they started the reward payments if all the pre-requisites have been met.

    Yes you do
Thanks - the reason I asked was because the website says:
When you apply, you just need to let us know:

    Your old account details.
The date you want to start the switch process.
Which seemed to indicate you could do it during the application process. Shame, as would help my parents with a switch but they're not keen on phoning.

I may have to try a second account switch sometime myself though, keeping my main account.

    UGH Now its £131.25:mad:

    Rant over.

Applied for a 2nd Co-operative account 9th April. Email 11th to say approved. Card & PIN now received and switch initiated today. I'm pleased to have found a home for a redundant Yorkshire Bank account.

I can't fault Co-operative, though I have had my main account with them for so long that there's no opening date on their records:rotfl:

I await my TCB £105 with baited breath:D

Customer service chap told me there are several enhancements to the website & app coming in May or June.

Not a minute too soon I hear some of you cry, though they've always done what I needed:o

No, a phone call is necessary. I got through very quickly, and phone call was painless.

I feel sorry for the CS people who have to read through the whole of their script, without sounding as bored as their customer on the other end of the phone:p

I can confirm there was nothing about receiving regular payments into the account (as in YorkshireBoy's post) in the £105 offer. I printed TCB's T&C on 9th April.

Applied for, and got, my 3rd Co-op account as couldn't resist another cashback reward - this time of £131.25)

But I applied for this account via quidco , who are only paying £40, and I claimed under its highest cashback guarantee to try and ensure I get £131.25 - thus avoiding the chance of being declined by TCB in case there's a "one only" policy

The highest guarantee claim was agreed by quidco within a few hours!
