    Yes - good offer.

But as always read the terms. You must switch in active direct debits - no number is stated - and pay in at least £800 a month for three months. So you will have to wait for some time to get the cashback.

This is going to demonstrate my lack of knowledge of TopCashback (other cashback sites are available:p) offers.

I had always assumed these sort of offers were in addition to the switch incentives which usually appear on the bank's own website.

Am I wrong? There is no offer on Co-operative at the moment.

Normally, with a few notable exceptions;) the T&C specify new customers only, one switch incentive only etc. The TopCashback offer doesn't seem to have those restrictions.

As a long standing Co-operative account holder (it is actually my main account:cool:), is there anything stopping me from applying for a second account through this offer? I do realise there's no guarantee I'll get a second account.

They can be separate, either way, or combined. I've recently done raf with nationwide and used topcashback, awaiting the raf this month and the topcashback has been recorded but may take several months to pay out.

Shouldn't be anything stopping you applying, my nationwide is in addition to several accounts I already hold with them.

You do know you're risking the wrath of colsten, Yorkshire boy et al with that statement on terms and conditions don't you?

The offer doesn't seem to rule out existing account holders opening another account and switching in - although if you have got a top cashback payout before on opening a Co Op account it just suggests you wouldn't be eligible.

In the end the bank has final say on whether they will let you open the account.

I've still got £157.50 TCB still sitting as Pending from their last offer so I think it's too much of a risk to chance it with a second account. If it was Confirmed then I might have given it a go!

    Thanks bigadaj

Not sure I understand your 'risking the wrath' comment:o but I'll risk it anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thanks, that's what I thought.

TopCashback wasn't even a gleam in the computer programmers' eyes when I opened my account with Co-operative Bank. In fact, the Internet, as we know it, was still over a decade away;)

My comment was a reference to some newbies getting a hard time for asking a question which was answered within the banks terms and conditions, as you're an old hand then I think you've avoided it.
  • They had this offer running in December as well, average speed of payouts for co-op is listed 20 weeks, so I *should* get my £105 towards the end of may /beginning of June (after which I will upgrade it to the rewards account for £4 a month)

There is no need to wait until June. "Reward" is a strap on not an upgrade,

I am also waiting for a TCB/COOP payment, scheduled for June or thereabouts. As ceredigion says, the reward is just a strap-on and I can't see how it relates to the TCB cashback. I registered for rewards back in January.
