Switching Supplier and Variable Tariffs

I'm with Ovo at the moment and they've just sent me an email saying my current deal is coming to an end and I'm free to switch out. While I will be reluctant to leave, I know that to save money I should. So I have used the Cheap Energy Club to see what they are offering and there are a couple of deals with GEnergy and Flow which look reasonable but they are on variable tariffs. Based on previous experiences, how likely are these to change within 12 months?

If you want the surety of a fixed deal, choose a fixed deal.0
