Flyers?

Hi I'm thinking of doing some local advertising for my website (I guess it's like spamming!) and I'm thinking of getting say 5000 flyers made..

Does anyone have any recoomendations of which company I should use? also what size flyers do you think i should have?

Thanks:beer:

I suppose it depends what you're trying to sell. If it's a low value (and you're short in cash!) then you can get b/w photocopies for next to nothing, and if you want you can cut these up into say 3 or 4 smaller flyers so you get more for your money.

If you've got a higher value item/service, more competition and more money then your best bet would be going round a few local printing companies who could design some thing up for you
  • Yeh, very expensive things...each about say £200

    Thanks for your help though!

p.s designer won't be nessacary as i got one that lives in asia to do it for about $20

Personally - and this is a very subjective thing! - I reckon anything less than A5 is too small to be worthwhile, and black ink on coloured paper (the brighter the better!) will stand out more in a heap of paper than coloured ink on white paper.

HOWEVER, if you want to put colour photos on the flyer, then coloured paper will be problematic.

and proof-read, proof-read, proof-read. Even if you're not offering a service where spelling and grammar matter, I'm more likely to take you seriously if your advertising is flawless in that respect.

Are you advertising your own business sleek?

  • I used a company called "Cannprint". T'was about £80 for 5k A5 flyers in full colour.

Make sure you use a reputable distribution company. Many will take your money and bin most of your leaflets..
