Hi all and thanks for reading this.
I tried to make a claim for ppi against barclays a couple of years ago and was told no each time a tried.
A ppi firm cold called me and asked if they could see if i had any other ppi claims I didn't know about. (they found 2)
Barclays decided a couple of months ago that my claim was valid and paid me 4000 pounds back. The ppt company wants a share of this. Do i have to pay them as i made a claim on my own behalf before them trying again?
thank you for any advice.

If you failed to tell the company about your previous success I would have thought they would charge you for wasting their time, but not their entire % fee.

It the CMC had no dealings with Barclays (i.e. they didnt send a letter to them) then they cannot include them in the billing
If the CMC had dealing with Barclays originally and were rejected but then Barclays later changed their mind out of the 6 month referral period to the FOS, then the CMC has no right to bill against the redress. There was a publication last year from the cleared that issue up.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
