The difference in front door

We have been looking at having a new front door and have been advised to go for a RockDoor which has A rated security and A rated insulation and the price tag to match £998. We have looked at the two lower grade doors which are composite and obviously have a lower security and insulation grade but in reality I'm unsure which door we really need on a bog standard terraced house, we have a low crime rate locally and our home is hugely warm anyway so I wondered if spending the extra on a RockDoor is really worth it?
House renovation savings £25,000/£25,000
Emergency fund £1000

We have a rockdoor and are really pleased with it. It is one of their ultimate doors, which I guess you are looking at. For us our old door was draughty so there is no comparison. The sound of passing cars is virtually eliminated too. Not sure about you having a GAP store on the Moon, but near us we have such a place and they have the doors on show.

Solidor was another make we were recommended. Similar price different design.

    Hope this helps.

Ah thanks Matty 2767. We are planning on hitching a ride back with the lot from the International space station to pick it up!!! We do have a local showroom so will definately consider paying the extra, thanks.

we're in the market for a new front door. I like the way the RockDoor site will allow you to design a door and then super impose it over a photo of your house to see if it suits.

matty2767 - can I be nosey and asked how much you paid for supply and fit of your door?
