Success In Packaged Account Claim

I fell out with the Halifax after being ill about 4yrs ago. I only had an overdraft of about £200 and came to an agreement to pay this back monthly. I had asked to drop the £15 monthly charge as it made no sense to me to pay it in the situation. They insisted saying I would incur penalties if I didn't. After about 6mths my debt had increased and looked to be set to keep increasing. My payments were upped and my finances collapsed.
I was defaulted for over a grand. Complained endlessly, to deaf ears, as I lost my banking facilities and was also defaulted by my Halifax credit card. Having recently been made to pay £100 a month by the Court as I apply for a DRO I read the bit about Packaged accounts and used resolver online.
I applied last Thursday evening and received a txt fri morning asking me to call the Halifax. I couldn't ring them till Monday and was shocked to hear that they had accepted my claim and paid the money into an old active easycard account on Friday. Having burnt all things Halifax they arranged me to draw cash at a local branch.
It was nearly half the bank default. Went and bought a new pair of shoes!
The implications to my finances are immense. I contacted Halifax solicitors who have stopped the Court authority to pay. Halifax are now looking into my request to refund the other charges on that account.
My thoughts are more to clear the default and CCJ from my file rather than claim back this and that.
The effects of these onerous charges have been awful. Its had a terrible effect on my relationship with my partner and financially put me in the gutter. Whatever you do or say to your partner, they tend to think you must have done something wrong. I just did what the Halifax advised.
So, thanks for the info here. I honestly feel like a door from a dark room has been opened and the light is pouring in.

Well done! Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0
