When does homebuyers report happen

My buyers mortgage survey was done today, if my buyer is having a homebuyers report done would this of happened at the same time or another?

I don't know if they are just having the standard mortgage valuation or if I will be contacted in the future for more visits

The mortgage is with nationwide

I'm afraid I don't know your buyer (at least don't think I do).

So have no way of knowing if they have deiced to have a homebuyers report done, by whom, or when.

  • I am with Nationwide and requested a homebuyers report.
It was done on a Friday then viewed and accepted on a Tuesday the following week then mortgage offer issued the day after.

which is no help to cupcake unless you happen to be his/her buyer.......

OP - it depends on the buyer.
  • Who is doing the report and who is organising it. I asked my mortgage company for one initially, they had the company doing the valuation call me before they went to quote me how much extra that and a full survey would be, as the mortgage valuation fee only covered just that. It would have been organised by the same people though in my case just as I didn't bother to shop around. In the end I just opted for a valuation though.

    MFiT-T4 - #46 £0/£45k to reduce mortgage total

As the man who came today just done a mortgage valuation so I am under the impression my buyer is not having a homebuyers report as I thought nationwide would do both at the same time.

I'm only asking as I have a lot of extra shifts coming up at work and hoping I don't need to take any more time off to stay in and wait for appointments

They might be, they might not be. If the buyer wants somebody to do an HBR or full structural survey who the lender doesn't recognise, then there'll be two.

Nationwide would probobly arrange both at the same time if that is what the buyer has asked/paid them for.

If the buyer has asked a different surveyor to do a report, Nationswide will not be able to do both at once.

So as I said in post 2:

I am in the process of buying my first house.

I got a free valuation survey from the mortgage provider so I paid for an additional Home Buyers Survey from a different company. These were carried out on two different dates.
