I have currently Virgin Tevo system, and their phone and broadband, I also have a free sat connection that I only use when Virgin is down. I found out that I can't get C4 Walter presents which is supposed to be free.
Is there a legal, cheap way I can view Walter Presents on my non-smart TV

Does you TV have HDMI and USB? If so, get a Chromecast and use the All4 app to watch it on your TV.0

Hi, it has HDMI, but looking at the manual it has no mention of a USB, it does say something about it being able to connect via the Ethernet whatever that is when it's at home.0

The Chromecast plugs into your TV via HDMI. The USB will go into a plug to power it.0 -
Thank you, I wish I was a bit more technically savvy, but I think in my 69th year I am a bit beyond learning stage
having just googled it coming up with a round thing from John Lewis for £30, is that it and what do I have to do to set it up.0 -

That's it.
You plug the Chromecast in. Then download the Chromecast app on your phone or tablet or laptop. This will enable the Chromecast to link up with your wifi. Once that's done, you will be able to watch iPlayer, All4, YouTube etc on your TV.0 -
Is it similar to the Amazon Fire plug in, I have seen them on eBay fully loaded with Kodi whatever that is, it says you can watch all sports, movies, etc, not that I'm particularly interested in that, but is there any charge for this after you've bought it and set it up. Are there any disadvantages, ie potential illegalities, and bugs etc. I always tend to worry about things from eBay. Although I have had some good things at very reasonable rates.0

If you have a fairly new laptop with an hdmi connection you can plug it into your tv and run 4od or all 4 (whatever it is called) through your browser. That's what I did when I missed the last episode of deutschland 83.
It's not the most elegant way of doing it but for a backup option it is ok0 -
....Last time I tried to watch ALL4 on my tablet, wouldn't play as it isn't allowed on a rooted tablet -so won't work on ALL tabs. That's it.
