Room needed in Kilburn/west hampstead area for a student

Good tall Irish lad (20)needs somewhere to plug in his computer (and sleep). As his mum I thought maybe I could help by posting here. As a student he won't have to pay council tax I think so his very max budget (or mine) is £120 per week. Would prefer a house on a street which if possible was even a teeny bit safe (he visited a high rise housing estate today and was terrified!)
Any ideas really appreciated.

£120 sounds like loads! Could he look into private halls? Not a house but atleast they usually have pretty good security.

Also gumtree.com has an accommodation section and I have friends who have used it and successfully found rooms. Anyone can advertise on there though so be careful.
