External plastic beads on garden wall

I am hoping someone could advise me please. I have just had a low block and render wall built in my garden which has been painted white with Dulux weather shield. The wall has a curve and the builder used a plastic beading on the edges. That plastic beading was not skimmed over on the top of the wall - he merely painted over it and so it remains visible. It doesn't seem right to my untrained eye and I wonder if this is the usual way of doing things.

If he didn't render the top of the wall then yes it will show!
Are you putting some coping stones on or something?

Hi Russ - no there was never any plan to put coping stones on. I just wanted a crisp, modern, white rendered wall which is what I have got except for the top of the wall where the bead effectively sits proud of the render and has just been painted over. The return edge front of wall sits under the plaster and is obscured. I had expected the top to be the same - fixed and then skimmed over.0

I would really appreciate some advice on this as seeing the builder later today. Anyone out there?0

Ask him to render the top then! He'll have to put a stop bead or similar on the back edge of the top of the wall, and if it were me I'd be grinding off as much of the paint on the top as possible, otherwise the render may well fail...
Does he have access to the 'back' of the wall to make things nice and neat?

Thanks for replying. Yes, he does have access to the back of the wall - well top 8 inches or so. I guess I am just wondering if it is usual practice to leave it like this. It seems odd to me but I am not an expert. I just don't want to have the wool pulled over my eyes by someone telling me that is always how it is done when it isn't.0

It's normally a case of 'what the eye don't see...' - but if you can (obviously) see it then I'm suprised that he hasn't rendered it, capped it or wrapped it in lead.
Anyhow, easily sorted
