B&Q Forteno Bathroom Cabinet

B&Q are still selling these costly mirror door bathroom cabinets despite dire reviews on their own website. Complaints mainly concern poor quality hinges breaking quickly and mirrors rusting after a couple of weeks as they are not sealed properly.
I Bought the 'Forteno' version in stainless steel and the hinges broke after just 2 weeks! Had a long trip back to store to replace it as hinges are not sold separately. Store had none left in stock of course so reluctantly I exchanged it for the 'Varese' version - exactly the same only in white finish.
This time the hinges broke right after I had just re-hung the unit on my wall! Not worth the money or hassle of either finding quality hinges or taking back of wall and returning to the store again for a refund.
I complained to B&Q but have had no reply from them and the product is still on sale. Trading Standards should take note.

Do you have a consumer rights issue you would like help with?B&Q are still selling these costly mirror door bathroom cabinets despite dire reviews on their own website. I've just had a look and there are only 5 reviews, granted they're all negative but there's only 5 - it's hardly comprehensive evidence of a design flaw.
Using your own logic; why did you even buy it in the first place if it has such "dire reviews"?
I don't mean to be dismissive, but it's hardly B&Q's fault how far away you live is it? Regarding them not having any in stock; surely you could have made a phone call before hand, especially if it's such a "long trip" to double check they had them in stock?Had a long trip back to store to replace it as hinges are not sold separately. There's no legal requirement for them to address your "complaint" nor for them to take the product off sale because 5 people moaned. Similarly Trading Standards are unlikely to get involved over a handful of complaints based on "poor quality" products.I complained to B&Q but have had no reply from them and the product is still on sale. Trading Standards should take note.
Ultimately, I think your post is more of a vent than request for customer rights help so I think it needs moving to the praise/vent part of the forum.0
