MDC owe me money but sold their IVA business

In desperate need of some help and advice please!
I received a letter with a cheque for £611 from my old IVA company, Money Debt & Credit last October. Unfortunately I had moved house days before amd didnt receive the letter until February. The letter stated that the cheque was for dividends owed. I cashed the cheque but it camr back returned from my bank. I have contacted the company who took over the IVA business of MD&C in 2013 (my IVA was settled late 2010) and they gave me an email address for someone at MD&C who was.dealing with all enquiries on old IVAs. I have emailed time and time again with no response. I went back to the takeover company who said they couldn't help as I was a previous and not current client.
Where do I go from here? Getting married next month, recently moved and a baby coming next year....we are depserate for that cash that is owed to me :(
